Silver Star Mountain Resort

The mountain terrain here is world class (www.skisilverstar.com) and will definitely keep you satisfied. Silver Star Bike Park uses the Comet Express chairlift (4 bike carrier so you hardly wait in line) to access a variety of progressive trails that offer a different degree of difficulty for everyone. Silver Star also has abundant machine made and natural terrain that will entertain even the best of mountain bikers. Some of our new jump trails like Pipe Dream and Rock Star have developed reputations as some of the most progressive and fun bike trails around.

This summer Silver Star is open TWO bonus weekends in September (Sept 10-11 and 17-18) and once again every Wednesday night is extended play with the lifts turning until 7:30pm.

Silver Star Mountain Resort is located just 22 kilometres from Vernon at the north end of BC's beautiful Okanagan Valley. Silver Star is also only an hour's drive from the Kelowna International Airport where there is frequent shuttle service to the Resort. (See location map here)

• Silver Star is joining forces with the organizers of Goat Style Bike Jam Festival to host the event August 11-13. This is going to be a great event for the bike park and will have everyone stoked to come see what we build for the slopestyle course

Signature Run

World Cup - long in both vertical and history, this trail got its start way back when Silver Star hosted the Grundig World Cup back in 1994. It's now longer, and updated to be one of the most fun trails you will ever ride.

Requirements

Silver Star Bike Park is a very progressive park with trails for everyone ranging from green to double black. Full face helmets are encouraged but not mandatory.

Rentals

Norco bike rentals are available in the bike park. Try out the new A-Line, Shore 3, Fluid 3 and Jammer for kids. Each bike comes in a package with all the gear you need to get you out on the trails, for example, get the Platinum Package and receive Norco A-Line DH bike, Full Armour, Full Face Helmet and Lift ticket for $148.

Accommodation and other services

Silver Star's village is a great place to relax and there is a wide variety of accommodation choices available on the mountain - from a youth hostel, to full service hotels, condos and vacation homes.. Accommodation facilities are bike friendly and will help you find secure storage for your bike when not in use.

There are several restaurants and pubs open during the summer months and The Saloon and Bulldog Cafe are open into the evening. If you need a little help with your bike, Double Diamond Service Shop will be able to handle any repairs. Be sure to stop in and see their full shop on Silver Star Rd next to Bike Rentals.
