Silver Star Mountain Resort (www.skisilverstar.com) has become a BC legend with its famous wall rides and amazing variety of hand-crafted trails. The expert trail crew has set the bar unbelievably high and it's all to the benefit of the rider. Finely crafted stunts, sweetly sculpted berms and buttery smooth trannys are around every turn. The resort continues to grow its trail system, as Shazam will be completed this summer, as well as a shakedown at Pooh's Corner... there's more too this tale. In addition, Silver Star is adding a dual slalom course to Double Dog - located just above Main Street near Telus Park.

The Vault jump park and skills area offers incredible jumps, as the resort continually builds on the major investment made to the Bike Park back in 2005. Every day there are more fast lines, big berms, wooden features, challenging jumps and of course more great moments to be had on the mountain. Ride the Comet 6-Pack Express to the top in less than 8 minutes where you'll find a huge variety of trails for all levels of riders and - best of all - there's no crowds! Every Wednesday Silver Star Bike Park is keeping the lifts running late. Extended Play runs until 7:30 p.m., just in case you need that one last sweet ride before calling it quits.

We know that not everyone likes to hit the trails hard, so our unique and colourful mid-mountain village is one of those great places to just relax and watch the world go by. Why not take a lift ride to the summit and savour the spectacular Monashee mountain views? Stop by The Saloon for for a refreshing beverage and burger after a day on the mountain. Looking to treat yourself to something more. Every Friday night the Silver Grill Steak and Chop House will be open for fine cuisine and wonderful Okanagan wines.

Accommodation and other services

Silver Star's village is a great place to relax and unwind in the summertime. There is a wide variety of accommodation choices available on the mountain - from a youth hostel, to full service hotels, condos and vacation homes plus the all-new luxurious Snowbird Lodge. Accommodation facilities are bike friendly and will help you find secure storage for your bike when not in use. There are several restaurants and pubs open during the summer months and the Vance Creek Saloon is open into the evening. Be sure to wander the boardwalks and browse for that perfect gift or just sit and let the kids play on the lawn. If you need a little help with your bike, Olympia Cycle (based in Vernon) opens an on-mountain satellite shop during the summer months and will be able to handle any repairs. Be sure to stop in and see their full shop on Silver Star Rd.

Signature Run

World Cup - long in both vertical and history, this trail got its start way back when Silver Star hosted the Grundig World Cup back in 1994. It's now longer, and updated to be one of the most fun trails you will ever ride.
